I misread ;] ...1-1/8th is NOT too small for a katmandu.

Yes, I will take $90.

because 1-1/8" is the SMALL, standard-sized, steerer that most MTBs use.

this won't fit a katmandu... sry!!!

No. your frame uses a 1-1/8" steerer, sry!!

1.5" steerer. requires an oversized headtube on your frame. Let me know what you have for a frame, and I can check if it will fit.

I do like the clean look of the big headtube... surprised it's not one of those tapered mix-ups :[

Agreed. I have a 1.5 on my Jamis. just started to get used to the concept, and now I LOVE the look. But now, many DH/FR manufacturers have switched to 1 1/8 to 1 1/2" tapered steerer tubes!?! they just look silly imo (which is right;]). Not sure of any logical reason for it other than "destruction of components interchangeability". Another example is fox's 15mm thru axle; did we really need something between standard dropout and 20mm thru ?!!? yet another consideration when you go to buy a wheel, fork, etc.... This is simply implementing change... for the sake of making change, without a purpose.

Yep, still got the Sherman. What frame do you have? This has a 1.5 steerer. Let me know if you want more pics, or to meet up somewhere.

excellent ride... I loved my freak! however, I've sold mine.

Do you have the 125, same color? I found it to be a little on the heavy side, but the result is a very strong, stable product - indestructible! Great all-mountain platform with the right component package.

Downside? The 125's x-fusion shock is junk!!

And, walmart now uses the Oryx brand name for their s**t bikes; what an INSULT to those who still own the original oryx MTBs.

I think that Mieles are built in the same factory where the original oryx was built, in quebec i believe.

Good luck, and post pics!!!

50 PSI (pounds per square inch) delivered from 2 different sources = 50psi, with double the available volume. Just thought I'd let you know.

Yep, It's 20mm, the hex part of the axle is locked to the fork for improved stiffness... the 20mm axle fits standard 20mm wheel hubs.
